Comparison
TradingLead vs TradingView: Honest Comparison
TradingView is a global charting and social platform with a free Basic plan, paid tiers, full Pine Script, a large community script library, mobile apps and server-side alerts. TradingLead is a smaller India-focused research workspace with a five-day trial then paid Pro, a documented Pine v5/v6 subset, in-browser Python indicators, broker feeds such as FYERS and Dhan, and simulation tools like bar replay, backtesting and walk-forward optimization. Competitor details are as of November 2026.
TradingView and TradingLead overlap on charting, but they are built for different scales. TradingView is a large global platform with a social network and a deep script ecosystem. TradingLead is a smaller workspace focused on Indian-market research: charts, screening, custom indicators in Pine or Python, and simulations you can inspect step by step.
Competitor details below come from TradingView's public pricing, desktop and support pages as checked in November 2026. Plans change, so confirm current terms on tradingview.com before you decide.

| Community scripts | 100K+ community indicators and public scripts | No public community library; indicator sharing is not live |

Where TradingView is stronger
Be clear-eyed about this before switching anything:
- Global coverage. TradingView covers far more exchanges, asset classes and fundamentals than TradingLead.
- Full Pine Script and a huge community. Pine Script is TradingView's own language, so scripts run as written there, and its public library of community scripts and ideas has no TradingLead equivalent.
- Mobile apps and server alerts. TradingView lists Android and iOS apps, and alerts that keep running when your browser is closed, with webhook delivery on paid plans.
- Free entry point. TradingView's Basic plan is free with no card required. TradingLead has no permanent free tier.
- Broker trading and social features. You can trade through selected brokers and publish ideas; TradingLead places no real orders and has no social network.
- Second and tick intervals. TradingView lists second-based and tick-based intervals on some plans. TradingLead's picker offers whole-minute intervals from 1 to 1440 minutes, not seconds.
Where TradingLead is different
TradingLead is not a TradingView clone, even though its chart embeds TradingView's charting library. That library gives familiar chart behaviour; data feeds, accounts, scripts and research tools are TradingLead's own. Using TradingLead does not connect or import your TradingView account.
What it adds for an Indian-market researcher:
- Python indicators in the browser. Write ordinary Python
calculate(bars, params)functions that run in a sandboxed Pyodide runtime with NumPy and pandas. The desktop app supports more packages. - Pine compatibility report. Paste a Pine script into Indicator Studio and it is classified as Works directly, Works with approximations, Needs conversion or Unavailable, with line-level issues.
- Bring your own broker feed. Connect supported broker data feeds such as FYERS (NSE/BSE equities and indices plus NSE/BSE/MCX futures) or Dhan (NSE/BSE cash equities).
- Inspectable simulations. Backtests use next-candle fills, explicit commission and slippage (defaults 5 and 2 basis points) and up to 20,000 candles. The strategy optimizer supports holdout and 1–5 fold walk-forward tests to expose overfitting.
- Replay into paper trading. Pause bar replay and start a paper trade from that exact candle.
- India-specific research views. Futures analysis charts NSE participant open interest for FII, DII, Pro and Client, and the Backtesting Lab teaches costs using approximate Indian charges such as STT and stamp duty.
- AI assistant control via Desktop. External AI assistants can drive charts and simulations through TradingLead Desktop without access to broker orders. The managed integration currently ships in the Apple Silicon Mac build.
Pine Script: what actually transfers
This is the most common migration question. TradingLead runs a documented Pine v5/v6 subset. Scripts must declare //@version=5 or //@version=6. Many common plots, inputs and ta.* functions work. request.security works with history from the same feed. Some visual outputs are chart-only approximations.
What does not transfer: TradingView-hosted data such as request.financial, request.earnings and request.economic, imported published libraries, and strategy options such as calc_on_every_tick and bar magnifier. Values are not promised to match TradingView exactly. Pine strategy() scripts run in TradingLead's backtester, not on the chart.
Before you move a script, check its classification in Indicator Studio. See how to run a Pine Script indicator.
Pricing as of November 2026

Who might prefer which
- Choose TradingView if you need global markets, mobile apps, always-on alerts, the full Pine ecosystem, broker trading from charts or a free plan.
- Try TradingLead if you research Indian stocks, want Python alongside Pine, prefer your own broker feed, or want simulations whose assumptions you can inspect.
Many traders use more than one tool. A five-day trial is enough to check whether TradingLead's feeds, intervals and scripts fit your workflow.
