Feature

TradingLead Desktop for Mac and Windows

TradingLead Desktop is a Mac and Windows app that loads the hosted TradingLead workspace and adds native tabs, local feed interfaces and supported local research integrations. The reviewed catalog provides a signed, notarized Apple Silicon Mac release and an unsigned Windows x64 preview; it is not a fully offline trading terminal.

What it does

TradingLead Desktop places the hosted TradingLead workspace inside a native tabbed application. It is intended for users who want the chart workspace alongside local data connections, supported isolated Python workflows or external-assistant integration.

Installing it does not create a second, independent copy of the entire platform. Website features and native app capabilities have separate update paths. A newer hosted chart interface cannot by itself add a native interface missing from an older installed app.

Mac and Windows availability

The release catalog reviewed on 5 November 2026 lists:

PlatformReviewed releaseRequirements and signing
Mac0.1.8Apple Silicon M-series; macOS 12 or later; signed and Apple-notarized
Windows0.1.7Intel/AMD x64; Windows 10 or later; unsigned preview

Use the official download page for current versions, filenames, checksums and release notes. The catalog can change independently of this article. These entries do not establish an Intel Mac, Windows ARM or Linux installer.

If live release information cannot be fetched, the download page can show a dated bundled snapshot with a warning. A fallback is not confirmation that you are seeing the newest release.

Key capabilities

  • Native tabs and windows around the hosted workspace.
  • Local provider interfaces and supported direct broker connections.
  • Optional local market-data routing where separately configured.
  • Native or OS-dependent Python workflows that cannot run in the browser sandbox.
  • External AI-assistant access through the installed app's available integration and explicit permissions.
  • Packaged application update controls.

Direct FYERS, Dhan and Kite Desktop paths are separate from website connections. The Kite session connector is experimental; it should not be described as a release-certified official Kite Connect integration.

Local fetching does not grant exchange-data rights. Provider terms, account sessions and market entitlements still apply.

Browser versus Desktop

You do not need Desktop just to open supported charts, annotate candles or use the browser's supported research tools. Market panels and compatible non-Python simulations are not inherently Desktop-only.

Python also has a more specific boundary than “all Python requires Desktop.” Compatible standard-library, NumPy and pandas indicators can run in browser sandboxes. Native/OS dependencies and Strategy SDK workflows can require the Desktop environment; see Python indicators.

Likewise, broker names do not identify a shared login. A website FYERS connection and a Desktop-local FYERS session are distinct. Connect and test the path you actually intend to use.

How to use

  1. Open the official download page and select your actual platform and architecture.
  2. Review signing status, minimum OS and SHA-256 information.
  3. Install using the platform-specific instructions.
  4. Launch TradingLead and sign in with your TradingLead account.
  5. Open charts and verify a supported instrument loads.
  6. Configure only the local connections or research tools you need, then test them separately.

Follow install Desktop for a step-by-step installation and verification checklist.

Limitations

Desktop is not fully offline. A local data source cannot make cloud watchlists, authentication or hosted features available without their required services. It also does not add live broker order execution.

A present native interface is not proof that its provider is connected or authorized. A running app is not proof of a current chart feed, and installing an update does not guarantee historical coverage.

The app's unsigned Windows status deserves particular care: verify the official file and checksum, and do not disable operating-system security checks to force an unexpected download to run. Platform access remains subject to TradingLead's trial and subscription terms.

FAQ

Does downloading Desktop extend my trial?

Do not assume so. The five-day product trial is account-based, not a fresh trial for every installation.

Why can two installations show different tools?

Their installed versions, hosted frontend readiness, provider sessions and granted permissions can differ. Check the specific unavailable feature rather than assuming the entire app must be reinstalled.

Limitations

  • Mac catalog targets Apple Silicon, not a verified Intel Mac build.
  • Windows catalog marks its installer unsigned.
  • Desktop still relies on hosted services and does not add live broker order execution.
  • Installed app versions can expose different native capabilities.

Frequently asked questions

Is TradingLead Desktop available for Windows?
Yes. The reviewed release catalog lists a Windows x64 installer for Windows 10 or later, currently marked as an unsigned preview. Check the official download page for the latest catalog and security information.
Which Macs are supported?
The reviewed Mac release targets Apple Silicon M-series Macs running macOS 12 or later and is signed and Apple-notarized. This does not establish an Intel Mac installer.
Does Desktop work fully offline?
No. It loads the hosted TradingLead frontend, and authentication, metadata and cloud services still have network dependencies. Local feed access is not a fully offline platform.
Must I install Desktop to use charts?
No. Supported charts and browser research tools are available on the website. Desktop is needed for workflows that explicitly depend on its native or local interfaces.
