Indian Stock Charts: NSE, BSE and Index Coverage
TradingLead charts support a published Indian-market catalogue and separate broker data feeds. FYERS website coverage includes supported NSE/BSE equities, indices and futures, while Dhan website coverage is cash equities only; these connectors do not currently provide Indian CE/PE options charts.
What it does
TradingLead lets you research supported Indian equities and indices with chart tools, intervals and annotations. The essential qualification is supported: chart availability is determined by the selected feed's symbol catalogue, account access and returned history, not simply by the exchange name.
For Indian-market research, distinguish a cash equity, a spot index and a dated futures contract. They are separate instruments with different prices and histories. A Nifty Bank index chart does not establish that Bank Nifty futures or a particular option strike can be opened.
Coverage by source
| Source | Verified coverage boundary |
|---|---|
| Built-in TradingLead | Published Indian-market symbols, including NSE equities and published Nifty indices; not every exchange listing |
| FYERS website connection | Supported master-listed NSE/BSE cash equities and indices; supported NSE/BSE/MCX futures |
| Dhan website connection | Supported NSE/BSE cash equities, not an inferred index or derivatives universe |
FYERS futures coverage includes supported stock/index F&O futures, commodity futures and currency futures. Use the actual provider-listed contract. The existence of a futures parser is not a guarantee of liquidity, account entitlement or usable history for every expiry.
How it works
The built-in chart source and a broker feed are separate choices. Connecting a broker does not silently replace the source of every chart. The provider setup dialog distinguishes the current chart feed from the broker's connection status.
Search results, returned candles and chart status answer different questions. Search establishes that a provider recognizes an instrument. A candle test establishes that a bounded request returned history. Neither proves that an ongoing quote stream is active or current.
See broker data feeds before moving a research setup between sources.
How to use
- Start with a published equity or index in the chart workspace.
- Confirm its exchange and instrument identity rather than relying on a short company name.
- For broker-specific coverage, connect the provider and search its own symbol catalogue.
- Test the desired symbol and interval.
- Apply the tested context explicitly, then inspect candle timestamps and any source warning.
- Save annotations only after confirming you are studying the intended instrument.
For an index-context study, you might inspect Nifty 50 and a supported equity in separate panes. Keep the sources and intervals visible. An apparent difference between two charts can come from feed timing, session definitions or instrument identity rather than an actionable divergence.
Timeframes and sessions
The chart supports minute-based presets and custom whole-minute intervals, plus daily, weekly and monthly views. Actual history depends on the chosen source. Derived intervals aggregate compatible candles rather than inventing additional observations.
Sessions also matter. FYERS futures use contract-session metadata, not one assumed equity session for all markets. A long commodity session and an equity session should not be expected to produce identical candle boundaries. The last intraday candle can be shorter when a session ends.
Limitations
Current FYERS website support deliberately filters CE/PE options out of its derivative catalogue. Dhan website support is cash equities only. Therefore, this page does not advertise an Indian option-strike chart, option-chain chart or second-based NSE chart.
The built-in source has no verified fixed-delay commitment here. FYERS live quotes require an entitled account and an explicit live-update choice; other website connections do not inherit that capability. Data rights and broker subscriptions remain separate from TradingLead's own trial or subscription.
FAQ
Is F&O support the same as options support?
No. F&O includes different contract types. Supported FYERS futures do not imply that call and put option charts are implemented.
Can I use charts without supplying a broker key?
The built-in TradingLead source does not require your own broker credentials. Platform access still follows the five-day trial and subscription rules; see getting started and pricing.
Limitations
- Published catalogue membership does not guarantee complete history.
- BSE and futures access is provider-specific, not blanket built-in coverage.
- Current FYERS and Dhan website connectors do not provide Indian options charts.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I chart Nifty and Bank Nifty?
- The published Indian catalogue includes Nifty 50 and Nifty Bank index symbols. Select the index itself and verify history on the chosen feed; the index chart is not an options or futures contract.
- Does TradingLead support BSE stocks?
- FYERS and Dhan website connectors include supported BSE cash equities. Search the selected provider's catalogue and test candles; this does not imply every BSE stock is available on the built-in feed.
- Are Indian options charts available?
- The FYERS website connector accepts supported futures contracts but rejects CE/PE options, and Dhan website coverage is cash equities only. Do not treat either as an available Indian options-chart service.
- Are NSE prices real-time?
- Freshness depends on the selected source. FYERS supports opt-in live quotes for entitled accounts; built-in cloud updates are not a guaranteed real-time exchange-tick feed.
