Feature
Technical Indicators on TradingLead Charts
TradingLead charts include the built-in technical indicators of the TradingView Charting Library — moving averages, RSI, MACD, VWAP, Supertrend, Bollinger Bands, ATR, Stochastic, Ichimoku and many more — plus a few TradingLead studies such as an EMA 20/50/100/200 bundle. You add them from the chart's Indicators dialog, and you can write your own in Pine v5/v6 (documented subset) or Python in Indicator Studio.
What it does
TradingLead gives you a full set of technical indicators directly on its charts for Indian stocks, indices and other instruments your data feed supports. You can overlay trend tools such as moving averages, VWAP or Supertrend on price, and add oscillators such as RSI or MACD in their own panes below the chart.
The chart engine is the TradingView Charting Library, so the built-in indicators behave the way most chart users already expect: search by name, add with one click, adjust inputs and styles, and remove when you are done.
On top of the built-in set, TradingLead adds a few studies of its own and — more importantly — lets you build custom indicators in Indicator Studio using a documented Pine v5/v6 subset or Python.
How it works
- Open a chart at tradinglead.in/charts and pick a symbol such as a Nifty 50 stock.
- Click Indicators in the chart's top toolbar.
- Search for a name (for example "Relative Strength Index" or "Supertrend") and click it to add it.
- Use the indicator's settings (gear icon in its legend row) to change inputs such as length or source, and style options such as colour.
Each indicator recalculates from the candles that the chart has loaded for the current symbol, interval and data feed. When you change the timeframe, the indicator recalculates on the new candles.

TradingLead studies
- EMA 20/50/100/200 Multiple — four EMAs in one study, with each length editable.
- Compare Symbol and Compare Symbol Overlay — plot another symbol against the current chart.
- FX Market Sessions — highlights major forex sessions.
- Tradinglead Support and Resistance — a TradingLead support/resistance study.
Your own indicators
- Write indicators in TLScript-Pine — TradingLead supports a documented Pine v5/v6 indicator subset. Source is validated before execution. See Pine Script on TradingLead.
- Write indicators in Python with a simple
calculate(bars, params)function. See Python indicators. - Saved custom indicators appear in a My saved indicators section inside the same Indicators dialog, so you can add them like any built-in study.
How to use indicators well
- Start with one trend tool (for example a moving average or Supertrend) and one momentum tool (for example RSI or MACD) rather than stacking many that measure the same thing.
- Match the indicator to the timeframe. Intraday traders often watch VWAP; swing traders often use daily EMAs and Bollinger Bands.
- Test an idea before trusting it. Use bar replay to see how an indicator behaved candle by candle, or backtesting to simulate a rule-based strategy.
Limitations
- The built-in list is the one shipped with the bundled charting library plus TradingLead's own studies. If an indicator is missing, you can build it yourself in Indicator Studio.
- Results depend on the candles your data feed delivers. Gaps, delays or a different feed can change indicator values.
- Custom Pine scripts run on a documented Pine v5/v6 subset; not every TradingView script works unchanged.
- Indicators describe past price behaviour. They are not predictions or investment advice.
Access
Indicators are part of the TradingLead platform, which starts with a 5-day free trial of the whole platform and then requires a subscription. See pricing for current plans.
Limitations
- The built-in list comes from the bundled charting library; TradingLead does not add every indicator available on other platforms.
- Indicator values depend on the candles your selected data feed provides; missing or delayed data affects results.
- Custom Pine support is a documented Pine v5/v6 subset, not full TradingView parity.
Frequently asked questions
- Which technical indicators are available on TradingLead?
- The chart's Indicators dialog includes the built-in studies of the bundled TradingView Charting Library — for example Moving Average, Moving Average Exponential, Hull and Weighted moving averages, RSI, Stochastic RSI, MACD, VWAP, Supertrend, Bollinger Bands, ATR, Ichimoku Cloud, Parabolic SAR, On Balance Volume, and Pivot Points — plus TradingLead studies like EMA 20/50/100/200 Multiple, Compare Symbol and FX Market Sessions.
- Can I change indicator settings such as RSI length or EMA period?
- Yes. Every built-in indicator has its own settings dialog where you can change inputs like length and source, and style options like colour and line width.
- Can I create my own indicator on TradingLead?
- Yes. Indicator Studio lets you write indicators in TLScript-Pine (a documented Pine v5/v6 subset, validated before execution) or in ordinary Python, then apply them to the chart and save them to your library.
- Are TradingLead indicators free?
- Indicators are part of the TradingLead platform, which starts with a 5-day free trial of the whole platform followed by a paid subscription. See the pricing page for current plans.
- Do indicators give buy or sell signals I should follow?
- No. Indicators are calculations on past prices and volume. They are tools for analysis and education, not recommendations, and they can give false or late signals.
